    We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. If the right to life and liberty are unalienable (not able to be taken away), how can the judicial system deprive citizens of them without betraying the minds of the founders and the blood of the revolutionary army? Sounds like treason to me.

    The sentence he was given was carried out, if unsuccessfully, they should have to let him go now. He wasn't sentenced to life in prison. ^^

    There are several ways to kill someone. If the standard one doesn't work, just find one that do. A criminal sentenced to death is supposed to be executed. Human incompetence doesn't change it. Would you drop the charges against a criminal if the police fail to catch him once?

    Thou shalt not kill. It's a pretty simple concept that's not really open to interpretation. It's hard to respect a form of government that murders its own citizens.

    Some might say repeated attempts at execution is "Cruel and Unusual Punishment", as is mentioned in the Bill of Rights. What's to stop a government to "fail to execute, repeatedly" on purpose? Just to carry out some kind of sick torture or revenge. Like repeat near drownings, declared as a "water boarding". Or applying near fatal shocks. As an interrogation techniques.

    The state should have tried another method after the injection didn't work. Maybe death by rape from BubbaJoe, the inmate that doesnt approve of child rapist murderers. Electrocution or gas should be next, forget about trying to find a vein. That sick man should burn for what he did.

    The government is carrying out a legally mandated sentence, not playing a TV game show. Whether the execution fails or not, the sentence stands and must be repeated until they get it right, whether it's the first time or the 10,000th time.
