not a jr. fan here........but i think i know what his problem is: he has his own style........he hugs the wall......all the time. when johnson, martin, gordon are down low on the turns, jr. is way up high hugging the wall. .......which of course is the l-o-n-g way around the track. over 500 laps/miles, ol jr. is probably driving a few extra miles. i think he hugs the wall because he is AFRAID of accidents. most serious accidents/injuries occur when there is bumping/rubbing down low and then cars hit the outside wall at a high speed. (that is how his father got killed). if you're already at the wall, you can't hit it directly at high speeds. another bad thing about hugging the outside retaining wall is that it destroys tires........which is why he is always destroying tires when no one else is.

Just because Dale Jr. is at Hendrick doesn't mean he has the best equipment in nascar. People forget that basically Dale Jr. is the 4th team at Hendrick and what 4th car of any team is as good as the 1st or 2nd. I get sick of people hating on Jr and sayin he sucks. Nascar is a crazy sport and crazy things happen. You don't win 6 races in 04 and just forget how to race. Some of you people are to stupid to even know what n.a.s.c.a.r. stands for. Look at Kasey Kahne, he won 6 races 2 years ago and didn't do much this year. Carl Edwards won 9 races or something crazy last year didn't do jack crap this year. Bottom Line is, is that nascar is truly a team sport and people seem to forget that. It's not just the driver because Dale Jr. is one of the best drivers out there and he will get back to the top where he belongs. He is a top 5 driver for sure and I would argue with anyone that he is. Not just because he's my favorite driver, but because it's true. Mark Martin's team was winning 3 or 4 years ago when Kyle Busch was there. Gordon has been there with basically the same team since the early 90's. Johnson has been in the same situation for 6 or 8 years. Dale Jr all be it a Hendrick team is still not a competitive, established team yet. It's going to take time and once everyone gets over the fact that Dale Jr can't control everything and win with a 25th place car, then maybe a Hendrick type team will emerge. Until then, Jr might as well be driving a fourth car for Penske or Evernham. When Jr gets back on top Jr NATION will be louder and stronger then ever and all you haters, who happen to be Kyle Busch lovers will be biting your fat toungues and keepin your fat mouths shut for once. GO 88!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The author of this site blows me away, on days he does good, he still looses, or if he does win, The sun shined on the dog's *** today. When you look at the lap times, he is normally off by 10's, it adds up, but when you think of it, it is a few feet a lap. The other thing Lance is learning that Tony Jr didnt want to do is JR's driving style is WAY different, he runs the high line, has apoint and shoot driving style, the races he ran up front this year the cars were not like JJ or Gordon's they were like his old cars at DEI built to those specs, and he runs up front....hmmmm, Tony JR wanted JR to adapt to the other platform and this is where the falling out came from.

Boy, and I thought the site writers were the funny ones. Mark Martin didn't hog any airtime. About a 20/0 ratio of commercials compared to junior, but the same equipment. Some luck, bad and good, but all talent otherwise. 25th in the points, barely an invitation to NYC in Dec at all even with running all the races. In DEI's incredible crapmobile the last two seasons Martin finished 27th and 28th in points running just 24 races each season(!) out of 36. Luck can only be blamed for so much for what Junior pulled this season among others, eventually it all comes back to the driver, and occasionally the owner, though with what Hendrick's done to the sport the last 15 years I wouldn't fault him in this era. And as much as I don't really like 24/48 dominance over that time, I don't think they are worried at all about Junior hogging any spotlight from them since they are the ones holding winning races with full/half/and empty tanks of gas for hendrick rather than the luckrun last year... more to it than luck

Ido not believe Junior was fully equipped to race until Lance came along. HE SHOULD have one 5 races that got taken away from him by wrecks, blown motors, etc. He needs to lean on GOD a little more to change the bad luck that no one else can do anything about. Every driver will have a bad season sooner or later. Even his father had a few. There was a lot of changes to over come the past year. Maybe it would be different for him if JJ AND JG were not so afraid that Junior would take the spotlight!!!!!!Fla
