2. I know a family of 4,(mom,dad,2 boys age 4 an 20 months)they are about to lose their home,he was laid off last winter an the company never gave him the paperwork an he thought they were sending it into unemployment,an they didnt by the time he learned this 7 weeks had went by,thier were so many laid off that a lot of the men werent getting checks,so he called an found out it was too late, didnt matter whos fault it was,he only got 1 check,he finally found an job only to be laid off again, was off 3 weeks this time an the same thing, the paperwork was late coming in the mail an they had to resend it,he got 1 check this time,he called the state respesentives office an nothing they could do,they have had their lights cut off, they have no cable ,no internet, they did get food stamps an state insurance for the boys, but not them, they are now trying to get something paid on the house so they wont lose it,I know people shouldnt be ignorant but if you dont know ,the unemployment should give them a break,if youve never been laid off before you would assume that your employer would handle it,so he was done bad twice, they just need some help for the boys this holiday, they arent asking for themselves just the boys, shes working parttime an he has found another job but as anyone knows once you get so far behind it is hard to catch up,they dont have extras, they are lucky they have utilities, its been cut off several times, but keeping a roof over their heads is what they are working on now, they have food stamps now ,but anything else is out of the question, thanks for the consideration for this special family

I nominated #12, that was the absolute saddest one to me. Most of the others need some kind of gov. or local charity help, but this family is sitting there every day with their father in a coma, wondering if or when they'll ever see him again. Not to mention everything the dad and the mom went thru in the past year... brain tumors, stroke, heart infection, coma... it's insane. More than my vote, I give them my prayers.
I too am a disabled grandmother taking care of my 7 yr. old granddaughter that has been diagnosed with so many mental and emotional problems due to abuse, neglect, and abandoment from her mother. The father was disabled and was not able to take care of her, so I wound up taking care of her, even though I'm almost 60 yrs. old and disabled myself. They say that God doesn't give you more than you can take, and I know that number 7, the grandparents are giving up a great part of their lives when they raise their grandkids. I don't know what happened to the children we raised, to make them not responsible for the kids they created, but thank GOD grandparents are willing to take over the job as the "parents". God Bless everyone. It's a hard vote.
I had a hard time reading this and especially deciding who to vote for.I made it to number 10 before it became too much..so that is who I chose.I know we all want to do the best for our children, especially for the holidays...but to go weeks without groceries is especially horrible.I just sat here crying, thinking of my babies and what I would do if it were me and I wish I could help them all.I think you are wonderful for doing this and I hope each of them find an answer in whatever form they need.God Help them all.
