I don't have the emotional/mental training to live forever. I was designed, trained and lived to have an end.

The absence of aging would provide humans with biological immortality, but not invulnerability to death by physical trauma: According to 2002 statistical data, the odds of an individual being traumatically killed are once in every one thousand and seven hundred years.[7]
So most Immortal people would only live 1700 years some less some more... just imagine you get the immortality treatment and the get beheaded in a car accident vs. opps you fall into a black hole 100,000 years later with the long odds.

A longer life would make the older people (not the horny teenagers) put off having children till they were more setup, assuming children are an option. We could also just take a plot from a book and say - Ok you can be immortal but you have to live on the moon.

Awesome 50% less people on the planet. Go you beauties. If we can get everyone who believes there is more to life than what we have then the rest of us can get on with making it better instead of all the religious violence, greed and guilt. Sure we will need rules and taboos but maybe they will be based on reality and not some delusional beliefs.

Its a no brainer. What other option is there? Death sucks every which way!

I'd let people live forever, but in return for living forever there'd have to be mandatory vasectomies/tube tying cause let's be honest, the world can barely hold as many humans as we have now. If everyone lived forever AND had children that would live forever, then the world would overpopulate like it's no one's business. And of course people who have more than one child would be automatically not eligible.
On that note, I'd love to live forever, but I'd wanna live forever in my prime, none of this be 1000 years old and look it. I wanna be able to move when I'm old.

It's sad how short we are here and how large the universe is and what we'll never see with our current length of life... To live 10000 years would quite amazing and open up an incredible amount of potential life experiences.

Quality of life would be the primary determining factor.
Presuming that you would be happy and healthy, I would say living until 9999 would be interesting.
I'm not sure if I would want if I would want to go through Y10K... Y2K was interesting enough!

The fact that our resources would quickly become severely depleated is only one result of people living much longer if not forever. The problem of course is over population.
If you beleive in a God you will already live forever in some form. To live in a human body forever is not really my wish. It would be hard to beleive science could stop all forms of negatives associated with aging.

For those who voted no, the exit is right here.

It's better than the alternative on offer!
I would rather be reincarnated
