i don't think most people need a jailbreak for 3.1.3 but and unlock for it. There are many of other soft wares that can jailbreak your iphone but those only work if your phone is on a legit sim.

iDevice crashed. Only way to revive was to turn it off, wouldn't restart, had to restore. Updated. After the fact realised no jailbreak. Need to get files off device if still rescuable, thus waiting for jailbreak before using again as not to overwrite files... Unavoidable update due to crash.

My iPod Touch had 3.1.2 firmware with Blackra1n, but after using the Factory Restore on iPod, don't turned on again. I've tried using blackra1n again, but after finished don't load the Springboard, loading for minutes and nothing. Then, after many tries, updated to 3.1.3...

Why JB? I bought an official unlocked 3GS and use free apps from App Store... and sometimes buy some apps... My 3GS works perfectly... so JB for what???? If the hackers don´t want to help you let them fuck theierselves... They are nothing without you, because they need to show what they do for everybody... Use only official apps and be happy...

I took my phone in for repair due to dust under the screen. I carefully made sure my SHSH was on cydia server I restored the phone to 3.1.2 stock firmware Then what I got back was a refurbished phone with iboot 359.3.2 :( In any case, I would love a 3.1.3 JB But not if it would compromise a future JB for OS 4.0

I Had a 3GS with old iBoot, 3.1.2 jailbroken. I Broke it, apple sent me a new one : new iBoot, 3.1.3. It's really frustrating not to be able to use all the really usefull apps from cydia. Obviously, you have the solution. So, I Trust you, you are our man. But please, whatever you decide, please, let us know ! Thanks in advance for your future releases !

Got a used 3GS iphone from ebay , I have no AT&T in my country. It's downgraded to 3.1.2 but still on 05.12.01 so basically it's a brick sitting in my drawer for 2 months..
It's also worth noting that a few app on the Apple Store will now also refuse to install/update onto your phone if you don't have 3.1.3 installed.

its kinda between getting my ipod 3g fixed and an accident. the problam i was having with it is when i pluged it into my comp and the itunes came up it said i had 26(!) gigas of "other" filling the memory of the ipod, the problam was i couldnt find anything that was worth 26 gigas, no movies, music, apps or anything like that. it was just a stupid bug, tried backing up my device and searched online for a solution, the only one i found was to reset it, when i did it already had 3.1.3 firmware and i couldnt restore my backup. im so very ashamed.

My iPhone 3gs needed to be rebooted and forces to upgrade. Shit happens, saved my base band thinking I could just downgrade, but no that didn't work! Now wait for New JB from DevTeam not sure I'll use Geo's stuff again. But cheers any Mr Hot it was cool for awhile!

i upgrade to 3.1.3 because my jailbreak 3.1.2 stuck on geohotz blackra1n boot loop. So, I am not sure what to do, I dled all the jailbreak software and custom firmware, it doesnt work. So by accident i dl a regular firmware from apple and upgrade it. 3.1.3, new baseband. DAMN IT

I have a launch day 3GS and ever since i have had it the battery has sucked. When i heard of the battery improvements with 3.1.3 I wanted to try it out. I upgraded to 3.1.3 to get the baseband (since i don't care about unlock). Then i downgraded to 3.1.2, rejailbroke and then put on the redsnow custom IPSW to get it to 3.1.3 jailbreak. I have been so happy since i did this. The battery is 10 times better. That's why i upgraded to 3.1.3.

I bought an 8g new with 3.1.3 and I knew I couldn't jailbreak it. I did try to go back to 3.1.2 but mo dice. So I went out an grabbed the 32 3 g and now I am happier with the hardware even though it's not jailbroken. I will break it the moment it's released and I know there's a reason why you aren releasing, one u probably cannot say out loud. If you look t everything about G Hotz he's not just holding back for mo reason.

In a nutshell I had to upgrade, if more curious to the reasons read on.. I'm from Helsinki, Finland. My phone turned of when I quit Tomtom arriving to my friend who lives in the north of Finland. Since I wasn't at home, on my friends pc I tried to restart the device with blackra1n, however it didn't find some .dll (new iTunes...) and it took some digging to solve it, but still nothing happend, so I waited for a day to get home and tried to restart it on my mac, but I wasn't successful, so I did some googleing and tried to restore the original 3.1.2 so that I can JB again, but it just didn't do it, it got stucked all the time, so after 14 hours of googling and trying I gave up and hit restore & upgrade in iTunes, and whoa-la, it worked, just I cannot use my phone with my operator (where I have 3000 minutes free.. + unlimited internet for 10€ the same offer cost 98€/month without internet at Elisa - the operator to what I'm locked now....).

My new 3GS came with 3.1.2/5.11.07/NEW Bootrom on Feb 27th. I did JB,UL with RedSn0w & Blackra1n.On day 1 of its use,as there were WiFi problems,I reset it. It went into a Recovery mode,& I was stuck with a Paper Weight since then as I do not wish to restore to 3.1.3. No Big deal whether any JB/UL comes out for 3.1.3 or not as OS-4 is round the corner,& there will be someone to come out with the JB/UL..Even if it doesn't come,I always will have a precious paper weight to play with & keep me occupied :)

I had 3.1.2 on my ipt3g. But it went into black screen. And no reaction on Home button or power ON/OFF button. So i was needed to do a restore in Itunes. Wich only allows me to update to the newest firmware.. Yes i tried to restore to 3.1.2 first. But Itunes wouldnt let me do that... But As far a i know, Geohot's exploit is an Iboot exploit. Whitch is kinda waste of good work to use on 3.1.3. wait until 4.0 firmware. Comex has an other Exploit called "Spirit" It is a Userland exploit. So it is not as low as geohots. Means easyer to patch. So i think we should let Geohot's Expoit wait untill 4.0 And hope "Spirit" will be released soon (:

It's amazing the attitude some people here have. I can't beloved some of you get p!ssed at George cuz you had a JB for 3.1.2 but for some reason had 3.1.3 upgrade applied and lost your JB. Give the guy a break. I'd cry laughing if he protected his JB somehow from you impatient fools. Personnally I'd rather wait for 4.0 and know it can be JB than him JB 3.1.3 and possibly lose the JB for 4.0.

Is 99% of all people here stupid? The reason Geohot is waiting to release is for the 4.0 to come out. When it does he will release a hack for it and maybe he will even make one for 3.1.3 . I took my phone in to be unlocked and they ended up upgrading to 3.1.3 instead! :@ very angry!!!
I upgraded on purpose, as i was left with no choice after putting on a theme, it got stuck in a reboot loop that i could no break out of other than fully reset the device, once reset i had to upgrade to 3.1.3. The moral is that jailbroken is great but it does come with some risk.

Thought i could upgrade, but i was dead wrong!
Two days after 3.1.3 was released, I had to restore my phone and I could only do it with 3.1.3. To get the unlock to work with T-Mobile i had to downgrade the modem firmware using fuzzyband to 04.26.08. It's been working for months like a charm.
I used my guaranty the day 3.1.3 appeared , so with my new iPhone 3gs , new bootrom, 3.1.2 OS, I didnt have time to save my shsh , and the old iphone also had the new bootrom, so I dont know what freedom means yet hehehehe

Well my battery died! and when I started it up agin it had iTunes logo I used blackra1n to carry on the tethered JB and it had iTunes boot logo, I tried this multiple times it ended up so I had to update for stuff saved on it for work, I really need a JB for new bootrom 3.1.3 so I can use remote CPU, (logmein) it means I can smoke @ work!!! Lol
I'm using 3.1.3 on my 3GS with a JB and unlock, but I always look into something before cliking random buttons. I bet all the people who accidently upgraded are the same people who get "attacked" by viruses on their PC at home too. LOLcano.

SCREW iPhone and geo freakin jerk. Everybodylook into htc hd2 or Android market even. If apple loses all their Loyal customer base then maybe they will pull their heads out. Decided to upgrade to an iPhone after getting an iPod touch 3g. I always kept my shshs backed up in the past. Well the iPhone 3gs came preloaded with 3.1.3.
I downloaded the knocking app from apple app store and it made my phone freeze up so I tried to restore but it made me restore and upgrade ..........never again

Only way I could restore it at the time was with the most recent iTunes version which I had to download on a 386 laptop I found in my friends closet. My power button broke,so I restored it before I took it into apple, they then told me my warranty was out and couldn't upgrade until July. I couldn't see paying $200 for a repair from those crooks, so I decide to live with it, yet when I get home it hit me I can no longer get in EFFIN DFU mode because I have a broken power button... I can get it in restoral mode, just not DFU... Frustrating more than anything. I tried the DFU iBSS.m68ap.RELEASE.dfu with the dfu.exe, yet no luck. If anybody knows a way to do this that would be just f*ck*ng peachy. Thanks
