I thought exactly as Jiesen said. The implication is there, but the written word is what's applicable when it comes to coupons. Have to have the disclaimer, or you have to honor the deal.

While I believe that PJ's should honor the coupon, I also believe that the intent may have been there to advertise it as a student special. The coupon does say 'welcome back' special, on a site url entitled 'www.campusspecial.com' so it could be reasonably inferred that the special was intended for the students. Whether they didn't explicitly state 'for students only' by accident, or as an intentional ploy to draw in folks with the intent of pulling a 'bait and switch' can't be ascertained by looking at the coupon. But I would have to guess that they really just made the honest mistake of leaving off that detail. That said, it was PJ's mistake, and people coming in with the coupon should get to have it honored- it wasn't their fault the coupon is ambiguous!
