I was around 13 years old and was walking with my mom and told her I feel crooked. I got used to the crooked feeling over time. I went to a specialist and he said i'm ok it wont get any worse. Now i'm 35 and it did progress some over time and a pregnancy.

I was the oldest of four daughters of a mother who wore a milwaukee in the late 1960's for scoliosis as did my aunt (my mom's sister) in the mid 70's so needless to say, they were looking for it in us. I was diagnosed at ten with a very mild curve and by the time I was 13 I was in a Boston Brace. All three of my sisters have it to an extent.

I was diagnosed during a school physical in 5th grade but my parents didn't believe the nurse and never mentioned it to my prediatrion. It wasn't until I was adult that I could begin seeking treatment.

I was diagnosed during a school physical in sixth grade, but only got treatment at the end of that summer. I bent over and they saw the S curve. An x-ray confirmed it.

I was diagnosed around age 12. My mom was hemming a skirt for me and one side kept coming up short. She must have had a look at my back. A dr. visit confirmed it was scoliosis.

My scoliosis was discovered by accident during a recheck of the bronchitis that I had at the time. He noticed my shoulder blades were crooked, etc.... and the rest is history.
